jakfrost Rebased F28 to F29 [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] 1. The usual boot messages regarding the non-standard AMD Phenom processor's.
2. I have reviewed the Boot logs, the installation log, the user logs all using journalctl and it seemed to be okay.
3. All of the usual services I deal with started well, though I am not an IT professional, am a developer though.
4. So far Selinux seems to be behaving correctly, again I am not an IT pro and haven't run into a use case where I had to make any changes to or be concerned about the operation of Selinux
5. Started and stopped different services today, everything I tried responded as expected
jakfrost fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue [1] 1. Since I did the rebase as my current user I assumed it would actually copy over my user information to include in the new ostree. It did this, however during initial startup of the new ostree it ran t he first time new user setup, which I couldn't figure out how to skip. After setting up a superfluous user, I logged in with my preferred user account.
jakfrost fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue on SMBIOS Gigabyte with AMD Phenom 6 core [1] [2] [3] [4] 1. See above - sorry for the extra stuff didn't fully specify my profile of the installation originally.
2. Checked boot log to find the usual complaints about the non-standard ACPI configuration my machine has (named pkg missing ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND, While resolving a named reference package element - LNKC (20180531/dspkginit-414).
3. I didn't have any services (I noticed) not starting as expected. I still haven't fully tasked my system since the install though, this may change after I do.
4. So far I haven't need to manipulate (ie start/stop/kill) services.
joem86 Oracle VirtualBox 5 [1] [2] [3] [4] 1. User input was required for password. The instructions were to "Follow all defaults", which included a graphical environment, so expected result 3 was not tested.

Renault F29 x86_64 with GNOME Boxes [1] [2] [3] 1. Firefox does not open automatically GNOME Software, otherwise everything works
2. No notif
3. Attempting to install Geary gave error "Unable to install Geary as runtime "sdk.gnome.org" not available".
SJReese Fedora Silverblue x86_64 29 Beta 1.5 KVM [1] [2] [3] [4] 1. Firefox does not open the flatpakrepo file with the software application. It displays the contents of the flatpakrepo file as text. Installation via the command line works properly.
2. No notification was received. Output from pkman was: Transactions: [none] daemon connected=0 Failed to get properties: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.freedesktop.PackageKit: Timeout wa s reached
3. All applications I searched for were not found (wireshark, virt-manager, dia, gimp). Unable to install applications from All group. Attempting to install Geary gave error "Unable to install Geary as r untime "sdk.gnome.org" not available".
4. Some process started after I edited the /etc/ostree/remotes.d/fedora-workstation.conf file, but before I could run the 'sudo rpm-ostree rebase fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue' command. When I ran the rpm- ostree command I received: "error: System transaction in progress" I received that error for around an hour. The rebase process took around an hour. I'm speculating that the system ran the rebase upon the fedora-worstation.conf file being edited and saved, but I have no proof. Once I was able to run the rpm-ostree command, everything completed properly.
alciregi 29 Beta 1.5 on MacBookPro5,5 [1] [2] 1. Firefox displayed the flatpakrepo file as a plain text, after downloading and opening the file everything worked as expected.
2. Installing applications from gnome nightly, like Calendar or Contacts, I get "Unable to install Calendar as runtime sdk.gnome.org not available"
anharris VirtualBox 5 [1] [2] 1. Firefox displayed the flatpakrepo as plaintext. Behaved as expected from command line and Nautilus.
2. All software fails to install with the error 'Unable to install X as runtime "sdk.gnome.org" is not available'
arledrian Flatpaked Boxes on Fedora 28
bhavin192 Beta 1.5 on KVM [1] 1. Firefox opens the repo file as text file so saving the file and then opening it worked as expected.
dasebek Fedora Silverblue 29 Beta 1.5, KVM with Chipset Q35 and UEFI enabled [1] [2] [3] 1. Firefox displayed the flatpakrepo file as a plain text, after downloading and opening the file everything worked as expected.
2. Unable to install Gnome Nightly flatpaks both in Gnome Software and in terminal. 'Unable to install "GNOME Web" as runtime "sdk.gnome.org" not available' message is shown. However, if installed from G nome Software, the failed app is then listed as installed with an Install button next to the entry in the Installed section. The Install button, in fact, wants to remove the app and fails because the app is not installed. Also, it's easy to get stuck on app details screen if Gnome Software window is closed when app detail is displayed. On the next startup the same page is shown, however, the back button doesn't work. Apps from Flathub work correctly, only runtimes installed with the app are not removed with the app and kept installed.

dcsouthwick install flatpak [1] 1. gnome-software does not open firefox link. gnome-software does not list "gnome" in list after command line operation
eeqmcc Fedora Silverblue 29 Beta 1.5 [1] 1. The gnome-nightly-apps.flatpakrepo file opens in browser tab as a text. (And one form flatpak.org site opens in gnome-software). gnome-software cannot install apps because doesn't find gnome runtime.
gfavaro Baremetal fedora29 [1] 1. The software shows a notification but after the suggested reboot, the update was not installed ans software still showing then.
haghighi [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] 1. File opened as plain text
2. Nothing about updates, Gnome-Software only show available packages
3. Too slow
4. Nothing
5. It's OK
6. Output: GPG signatures found, but none are in trusted keyring

jakfrost Rebased F28 to F29 [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] 1. Installed several flatpaks, as well as setup the Evolution flatpak as per the directions on the Gnome site. I all worked as expected. There is a strange thing that happened once, and I couldn't get it to repeat so I am not sure it is a bug or not, however when closing out Evolution I was unceremoniously kicked back out of Gnome to the login screen. I tried to get it to repeat, with no success.
2. I am saying this passes because it does notify you that there are updates (whether kernel or flatpak) however, if you try to use software to perform the actual update it fails, everytime.
3. I'm not sure if this is pass or fail since the only thing I can see in addons are the extensions, no fonts, codecs, etc...
4. rpm-ostree update worked fine
5. Again there is a caveat. I was able to rebase from F28 Silverblue to F29 but when the rebase was done and I booted into the new ostree it wouldn't let me proceed without creating a new user.
6. Rebase worked just forced me to add a new user at first boot of the new image.
jakfrost fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue on SMBIOS Gigabyte with AMD Phenom 6 core [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] 1. Installed several flatpaks, no problems

merlinm Fedora-Silverblue-ostree-x86_64-29_Beta-1.5.iso, KVM, virit-manager [1] [2] [3] [4] 1. Firefox displayed gnome-apps-nightly.flatpakrepo as text, but "flatpak remote-add ..." completed successfully.
2. Ran "gsettings" and "touch" commands to shorten wait time and rebooted. No notification ever received. Confirmed "gnome-apps-nightly" appears in list of repositories displayed by "software". pkmon re ported: Transactions: [none] daemon connected=0 Failed to get properties: Error calling StartServiceByName for org.freedesktop.PackageKit: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Failed to activate service 'org.freedesktop.PackageKit': timed out (service_start_timeout=25000ms)
3. Browsed for, viewed, and attempted to install software application GNOME Dictionary. Install failed with following message: Unable to install "GNOME Dictionary" as runtime "sdk.gnome.org" not availabl e.
4. Initial "sudo rpm-ostree upgrade" reported "No upgrade available.". Reboot succeeded. fedora-workstation.conf already contained the updated gpgkeypath, so no rebase was possible.
mustafa Fedora-Silverblue-ostree-x86_64-29_Beta-1.5.iso on KVM (virt-manager) [1] [2] [3] 1. I didn't enable sudo for the user during installation, I usually use non-admin user or root, so some problems might arise from this: * Firefox didn't open the link, I had to add it manually from the terminal * I tried to install gedit (Nightly) from the added repo using gnome-software, it didn't work, I got the message 'Unable to install gedit as runtime "sdk.gnome.org" not available' * I got gnome-apps-nightly in the gnome-software sources, which is the correct (expected) behavior.
2. Looks like my mirror brought me an older version of metadata, so "Unable to get a list of updates", GDBus.Error:org.projectatomic.rpmostreed.Error.Failed: Upgrade target revision 'some_checksum' with timestamp 'some_timestamp 18-september' is chronologocally older than the current revision 'some_other_checksum' with 'some_other_timestamp 20-september'; user --allow-downgrade to permit
3. I couldn't install VLC using flatpakref file, Software said "Failed to install file: not supported", but I could install flatpakrepo file, so I added flathub this way Still, couldn't find flathub app s in Software, using flatpak command, I got some timeouts, but Software never complained, and didn't show any apps Web apps (e.g. twitter) found in search, installed, and removed normally. Also software sources work fine

2. F28 Silverblue upgrade and then rebase to ref fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue works fine
3. I think due to slow mirror, it sometimes fails to rebase as well. Saw following errors during two attempts: 1. Receiving metadata objects: 183/(estimating) 46.4 kB/s 2.0 MB error: [56] Failure when receiving data from the peer 2. Receiving metadata objects: 783/(estimating) 8.6 kB/s 1.3 MB error: [35] SSL connect error
4. Rebase from F28 Silverblue to ref fedora/29/x86_64/silverblue works fine for both automatic and custom partitioning

znmeb [1] [2] 1. #1620584, Same issue as the case without upgrading Silverblue 28 first - again, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1620584. This time around I captured a traceback. Seeing "radeonsi_dri.so" in the traceback makes me suspect the GPU software - the machine has an AMD Sea Islands card and is using the "radeon" kernel module.
2. #1620584, This looks like https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1620584. I have this issue on only one of my two systems, so I think it's graphics-card related. I have yet to make this scenario (rebase fr om 28 to 29) work on this system. However, a fresh install with the 1.3 beta ISO comes up in Silverblue 29 with no problems.
